Cinnamon goodness in a bagel

Cinnabon is one place I truly miss since living in the UK for almost 24 years.

I remember as a child I would stop off at St Clair Subway Station (the underground for all the UK folk who will correct me but the story does take place in Toronto) and as the door opened, the wafts of cinnamon would take over and the dribble would have to be wiped off my chin. My face would be pushed up against the window as I could see straight into the bakery as they made the cinnamon bun, right in front of my eyes. The butter slabs, covered in cinnamon and rolled onto the softest bread like dough. As they came out of the oven, they would be covered in the cream cheese icing and you could see it melting and becoming so gooey with goodness.

I would head inside, pull out the loose change I gathered from what ever I could find laying around the house and purchase the biggest cinnamon bun you could buy. Taking my warm cinnamon bun with a stack of napkins, I would find myself a seat and not come up for breath until the whole thing was completely finished, even licking the box until every little bit of goodness was in my tummy.

So, my story has a point. Unfortunately, I am not making cinnamon buns and yes my heart crumbled when the planned Cinnabon store on the outskirts of Ipswich didn't come to fruition. However, I have created that cinnamon goodness in a bagel. Not just a bagel, but a bagel twist, not just a twist, but a cinnamon bagel twist topped with a dreamy cream cheese icing. All I can say is you will not be disappointed.

We are selling them in a box of six with a tub of cream cheese icing. They will come part baked only because there is only one way to eat them and that is hot, right out of the oven.

Place your order in the shop so you don’t miss out!
