We got Valentine’s covered.....
If you’ve only just got over Chrismukkah and New Year, you’re not alone. Here at Bagel or Beigel, it was our busiest festive period yet, with orders coming in by the dozen (no, not just dozens of bagels – dozens of boxes!). We were baking and boxing right down to the wire, with a well-deserved gin at the end of it all. That being said, there’s no way I’ll be taking part in Dry January. I’ll leave that to you lot, with a little reward at the end of your alcohol-free month in the form of one of our limited edition, best selling bagels!
Valentine’s Day isn’t far off, and since last year’s Valentine’s bagels really stole some hearts, we’ve decided that they’re making a comeback in 2023. Our heart-shaped bagels caused quite a storm on social media, and this year’s dough is going to be cookies and cream flavoured! Infused with all of those creamy, chocolatey hints, this bagel is somewhat of an aphrodisiac, if I do say so myself… However, even if romance isn’t on the menu on 14th February, you’d hate to miss out on this!
Not just a tasty snack, it’s also a bit special to look at. With a multi-toned dough (that’s the cookies and cream making an appearance), plus that distinctive heart shape, it’s the perfect Valentine’s gift for your partner - or yourself, if you so please!
We’re not telling you how to eat your bagel, of course. However, we do recommend trying our Valentine’s bagel out as a delicious new take on French toast. Simply slice it up, press it into a mixture of whisked eggs and a little bit of milk, then fry it in a pan. If you’re feeling really indulgent, drizzle your French toast with some melted chocolate spread and a scoop of ice cream. Maybe some strawberries, too. And some whipped cream on top!
Perhaps I’m getting a little carried away…
If you’re going to pair just one thing with this bagel, it absolutely has to be our Cookies & Cream – Cream Cheese. Again, it's a limited edition cream cheese just for Valentine’s Day (the month of February), and the two couldn’t go more perfectly together. Believe me, there’s nothing more enjoyable than the texture of our bagels, plus a generous helping of cream cheese.
As these won’t be delivered on Valentine’s Day itself (I would be in the doghouse if I didn’t spend the day with my own wife), I recommend purchasing part-baked bagels and finishing them off in the oven at home. This is a really convenient way to buy and eat our bagels, as you can enjoy them at your leisure. The part-baked bagels also come with foolproof instructions - or you can message us if you’re *really* confused, but we don’t think you would be.
Whenever you’re eating this month’s limited edition Valentine’s bagel, we hope you enjoy it - and don’t forget to spread the love by telling your friends about Bagel or Beigel!
Please note: this is an archived post so the Valentine’s bagels are not currently available, but if you sign up to our newsletter below you’ll hear all the latest news and never miss out on any limited edition goodies!
