Pumpkin Spice Bagels

It’s nearly October, and you know what that means. The nights are drawing in, things are getting a little cosier, the leaves are beginning to fall, and Starbucks fans are on their 1065th pumpkin spice latte. Although I (Avi, Chief Dough Boiler) have never had the joy of a pumpkin spice latte gracing my taste buds and warming my insides, I can see what the fuss is about when it comes to the flavour of this drink. There’s just something about pumpkin spice that screams ‘autumn’, and that’s why we’re bringing the flavour back in bagel form!

Last October, I was running around making dozens of orders for our day-one customers - those who had been there since Bagel or Beigel’s inception - trying not to make a mess in our family kitchen and consoling a very disappointed Poppy (our CEO) about the trick or treating ban due to the pandemic. This October, I’m fulfilling hundreds of orders in our brand new made-for-purpose unit, for day-one customers AND a whole load of new people who have joined our gang over the past year. Oh, and Poppy’s making a bag out of her duvet cover, because her pillowcase won’t be large enough for all the sweets she’s going to wrangle. Yes, we’re in for a long night on 31st October…

The point I’m trying to make is that we have welcomed so many new customers in the past year that haven’t tried our sell-out, limited edition pumpkin spice bagel. So, this October, you’ll get the chance to join in on the pumpkin spice fun!

But there’s something that you newbies can enjoy that last year’s customers didn’t - our Camp Fire Cheesecake in a Tub. This is our brand new concoction that will have you salivating by the end of this blog post. Made with smooth, vegan cream cheese, these cheesecakes feature a gingerbread biscuit base, roasted marshmallows and delicious chocolate. It’ll make you feel as if you’re enjoying s'mores around a campfire, but without the danger of burning your eyebrows off. Best of all, it’s completely vegan. Eat it as a dessert, as a snack (if you’re greedy, like me) or schmear it onto your pumpkin spice bagel for a creamy, warming, autumnal taste sensation, if you fancy. Or, you could always share it with a friend (although we’ve already had reports of fighting over the last cheesecake in a tub within the Bagel or Beigel team. P.S. I was NOT involved).

This isn’t where the cheesecake fun stops - we’ll be launching several new flavours over the coming weeks for you to enjoy with your bagels or by themselves. Each of these will be mouth-wateringly delicious, and everyone can enjoy them, meaning our vegan friends too. Keep an eye on our page for announcements and be the first to try a new flavour!

In the meantime, I hope you’re salivating already, as I said you would. Get your order in now for your Camp Fire Cheesecake in a Tub, plus the relaunch of the limited pumpkin spice bagel. If this bagel sells out as quickly as it did last year, I’ll tell you about the time that I dressed up as a girl for Halloween!

Oh wait. Was that Halloween? Never mind.
