The early bird gets the bagel

Let this be your warning – if you decide that now is a good time to watch Matt Hancock make a Hancock out of himself on live television, rather than placing your Bagel or Beigel order in time for Chrismukkah, you’re going to miss out. It’s not that we’re running out of ingredients – we’ve got enough dough to build a new Manchester United stadium just for Ronaldo – but we’re running out of time.

Unfortunately, I’m not an octopus, and I don’t have eight arms to make thousands of bagels per hour. I am merely a jolly two-armed man. And besides, there are other things I’d rather be doing if I had eight arms…

Anyway, our Chrismukkah shop is well and truly open, and we’re already getting lots of orders. You can pre-order your bagels, cheesecakes in a tub, deluxe boxes, and much more. I won’t go on and on about Chrismukkah again, so if you want to find out what’s in store, head straight to the shop page.

If you’re looking ahead to the New Year, I’ve got something for you to look forward to. Our bagel and challah workshops are in full swing, and they’re perfect for people who want to learn the art of Jewish baking. We’ll teach you how to bake two delicious breads over the course of four hours, and we’ll even feed you, too! All levels of experience are welcome, so whether you’re the champion of challah or a beginner bagel maker, you’ll no doubt learn something new, and have fun while you’re doing it.

We currently have three dates available: 15th January, 5th February and 19th February. Workshops are £85 per person, and make a great gift for a loved one. Even better, book with a group of family or friends and get over the January blues with laughs and food. If you’re booking for a bigger party, we can discuss a separate date that works for you. Find out more about our workshops.

Finally, if you’ve already ordered your bagels and booked your place on one of our workshops, you can also order gift vouchers as a Chrismukkah present. Starting from £20, vouchers are a great way to give the gift of bagels without actually giving the gift of bagels (they don’t sit well in a box under the tree for a month, after all). Your recipient can redeem their voucher on anything from the Bagel or Beigel shop, even a monthly bagel subscription box. Find our gift vouchers here.

Finally, before the Chrismukkah period gets crazy and I’m locked in my kitchen covered in dough, rocking back and forth in the corner, I want to say a happy Christmas and Hanukkah to all, and thanks for ordering from Bagel or Beigel this festive season!
